Are you good humored?

We are all aware of the five senses, but there is a sixth sense that should be considered – a sense of humor. Our senses help us to input and process information to make our way through the world. A sense of humor allows us to enjoy that journey. During our busy lives, it is all too easy to overlook our sixth sense. Life happens, but being good humored helps us to find the funny in a situation and see it from a different perspective.

  1. Great perspective on being good humored! It’s just best not to sweat the small stuff I’ve decided and to be able to laugh at myself some too 🙂 Love your blog!

  3. I think you really have to just relax and see the humour in things. I’d rather laugh over something than get angry about it!

    • You’ve got it. That’s the philosophy of being Good Humored. We have a choice in how we react to a situation and, when possible, I’d prefer laughing than gettng angry.

Thanks for taking the time to read so many of my posts and leave comments. Hope to see you again soon.

  4. Agree, I know that in every aspect of my life without sense of humor I would not ever survive the little things: work and play. We need to find the humorous side to everything we do, for instance I work at an elementary school and at the end of the year its just gets plane crazy so my fellow colleagues like to play practical jokes on each other. Its great, look forward to following the antics of your musings. Have a great night.

  6. Just came across your blog and loving it! Laughter is indeed the best medicine-helped me get through cancer in fact. If I can’t laugh at my own cancer, what can I laugh at? Kind of an ordeal but really awesome material…

  9. I really love this and agree wholeheartedly that you need a sense of humour to get through! WIthout it, life would just be one darn thing after another. When your eyes are open (and your sense of humour is in tune), there are so many wonderful funny things that happen, even in the midst of not-so-funny or happy moments. Thanks for your insights. 🙂

    • As I’ve gotten older, (not that I am all that old, or wise) I realize that perspective and attitude really can make all the difference in a situation. It’s nice to know you agree. Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to comment.

I totally agree with your sentiment – “Life happens….” It certainly does, and if we can all even view a totally serious situation (as long as it’s not illegal or life-threatening) with a bit of humor, you just never know how things might turn around in your favor.

    • I can usually find the funny in situation (like you said, when it’s not illegal or life-threatening). When I started this blog in June I was determined not to go around creating fodder for my blog. I was going to write about life as it happened and so far, I’ve not run out of material.

      • And may you never run out (of material, that is), dear Paprika. I am thoroughly enjoying every wit-bejeweled observance heralding your clever perspective on so many things! I knew there was a reason we got along so famously when we met, we are two peas in a perspective pod. Will be able to blogbrag to you in person on Thursday when I will appear in a whimsical cloud of “substitute” aroma whilst running to cover another session. So get ready for some in person congratulations on such talent found!!! ~Miss Singsongy Sub Herself

      • Karen, thank you so much for your effusive compliments! You can’t see it, but I’m blushing. I’m glad you share the same perspective and that you’ve been enjoying my posts. I knew there was a reason we got along. See you soon.

  16. So true! A good sense of humor makes all the difference in the world!

  17. Agreed! My Dad always says “If you don’t laugh a lot in life, you’ll cry a lot instead.” In other words, you have to see the funny side of life and never take yourself or your situation too seriously. A very worthy topic to write about, Paprika!
